Postal codes in Nigeria are Six digit codes formulated by The Nigerian postal service, for the sole purpose of clear navigation of goods and services from one region, country or state to another.
Postal codes helps the Courier agent identify the state, Geo-political zone, delivery station or house address of a person ordering from another location entirely.

I could remember vividly when i was signing up for Adsense, i was asked to fill in my postal codes, in which i never took serious. on getting back it has change my location to Edo State instead of Lagos because i failed in filling the right postal code.

Here are Codes for each state of the 9 Geo-political zones of Nigeria.
